Project 3

This site was challenging since we were dealing with an existing unattractive dirty stained cement retaining wall and a weathered wood retaining wall.

Budget was a concern. We had to work with most of the existing hardscapes.

I recommended using a two toned concrete stain to create a more attractive stone feel to the cement and a matching stain for the wood.

In addition, all existing plantings were removed or relocated. Planting beds were enlarged as well as added around the entire yard.

Privacy was also a concern since the backyard abutted a school playground. Layered plantings provided an attractive, year round appeal. The existing deck was removed and a new one was built with an attached privacy screen to buffer the neighbor's home creating a useable sitting area.
