Project 1

This residence was a new construction site with just a small piece of sod installed in the back. It was a very narrow site that overlooked the neighbors yard from their patio doors.

The client requested a variety of screening plants that would give them a bit of privacy. This is always a challenge in a narrow bed.

Also, they wanted two sitting areas for the yard since they were bird watchers and enjoyed eating dinner out on the patio. As you can see, in the patio before photo, the patio was just a barren concrete pad with little appeal to sit out there.

Bringing in an arbor with benches and enlarging the patio with some square stone around the perimeter gave the concrete aggregate patio a handsome appearance.

In addition, removing the solid wood gate to the front yard and building a portion of it in iron, allowed for some light and a peek a boo look into the garden.
